Junior Church takes place at the same time as the Morning Service, except for the last Sunday of each month when an All-Age Worship Earlybird Service is held. The children stay for the first part of the service before leaving for their classes.
Junior Church has a regular core of children at each Morning Service and is manned on a rota basis with approx 8 people participating. For very young children a crèche is also available, if required.
On occasions when no Junior Church is held, or for children who wish to stay with their parents, “play bags”, to keep children occupied during a service, are available on request.
In all of these activities the Child Protection Policy of the URC is adhered to too.

Walton-on-Thames Child Contact Centre |
|
St Andrew's provides the venue for Walton-on-Thames Child Contact Centre. The Centre was the brain-child of a member of St Andrew's, Joan Davis, based on one she had seen operating at St Andrew's URC, Castle Gate, Nottingham. The doors were opened seventeen years ago., An ecumenical outreach – members of many of the other Walton Churches form the majority of the volunteer base, an Elder from St Andrew’s is the co-ordinator..
St Andrews has provided this safe and neutral venue for children from broken families to meet with their non-resident relatives on each and every Saturday. Members of St Andrew's, realising the sensitivity of the Centre's clients, generously observe an unwritten rule not to use the hall for anything on Saturday afternoons.

ACORN - St Andrew’s Christian Opportunities Renewal Network |
|
At the beginning of 2006 a group of concerned Elders got together to look at Strengths, Weakness, Threats and Opportunities at St Andrew’s in the encouragement of new worshipers and outreach. A paper was presented to the Elders and discussion was held. From this there has arisen an evening house group and we hope to start an afternoon one. This is an ongoing process.
The ACORN Prayer
Father we thank you for the privilege of being part of the body of your Son, the fellowship of The Holy Spirit at St Andrew’s. Give us oneness in prayer out of which is born an awareness of the boundlessness of your grace. So may we truly become your community, able to contain and sooth the hearts and fears of all, a true fellowship of love prayer and praise. Amen. |

A small group which sings informal worship songs and hymns the monthly Earlybird Service. The group also encourages the younger age group in the church to participate and assists with projects for the children. At Christmas, the children join in with the songs from "Out of the Ark" music (written by local composers Mark and Helen Johnson) which some of the children know from school. |
